Polychromy is also part of our studio’s specialization. We focus on the accuracy of the examination of a given work and the subsequent precise determination of the restoration procedure. We do not carry out restoration that devalues the monument, but we strive to utilize all preserved fragments of polychromy and supplement them only with sensitive, unifying, and imitative retouching, including gilding of the surface, so that newer interventions and the preserved fragment of the original artwork create a visually harmonious whole.

Polychromy – is a multicolored, decorative, expressive, symbolic, and other treatment of sculptures, architecture, and other works of art. Each culture or artistic movement gave polychromy a different expression. The role of polychromy is to enhance the aesthetic experience of a given object and to protect it against surface damage.
